I’ve uploaded some photos to Flickr from the first few days including a few sunsets, the sunrise at Haleakala, and along the road to Hana and back. Enjoy and keep an eye out for more pictures soon!
We arrived in Maui, Hawaii yesterday. We will be here for 5 days and nights, then it is on to Oahu.

Aloha!
On Saturday, June 9, 2007 David and Cheryl were married. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend our wedding and reception.
Pictures will follow soon.
Next up, honeymoon in Hawaii.
Dave and I finally finished the programs and favors last night, woohoo! They were very time consuming to make, but we had fun doing it. I can’t believe in less than one week we will be married! We still have a few last details that we are working on for the wedding, but are pretty much finished with everything!
Also, thank you for your prayers about the weather on June 9th. I looked at the forecast again today and it says no rain!!
Hopefully, it will stay like that!!
As all of our friends and family arrive into town starting on Wednesday, I pray for everyone’s safety as they travel!
Everyone, please pray for nice weather on the wedding day!!! Right now they are calling for rain!
I am very sad about this since the ceremony is supposed to be outside. So, if everyone could please pray for sunny skies and no rain, that would be great!!
I know some folks have been asking when does the bus leave for the wedding from the hotels. So, we have finalized the transportation times for the hotels. You can find the information below, I will also update the Guest Information page later this evening with this information.
Holiday Inn:
Bus Arrives at 4:00 pm
Bus Departs at 4:15 pm
Days Inn:
Bus Arrives at 4:25 pm
Bus Departs at 4:45 pm
Hampton Inn & Suites:
Bus Arrives at 4:25 pm
Bus Departs at 4:45 pm
For the return trip back to the hotels there will be two bus runs. One bus run will leave at 10:00 pm. The second and final bus run will leave at 11:10 pm (the reception ends at 11:00 pm).
Today, I gave the final guest count to the caterer! We also came up with the seating chart! We tried our best to put people together at tables, so I hope no one is unhappy with where they sit. If you don’t like where you are sitting you only have to sit there for dinner. After dinner, you can get up and come out on the dance floor with me!
I also completed the list of everyone’s names and table numbers for the escort cards. Karie handed the list over to the calligrapher so she can get going on those!
I am just getting super excited about the wedding and I hope everyone else is, too!!
I can’t wait to see all of my family and friends in just 10 days!!
Yesterday I put down a deposit to have my bridal bouquet preserved from Keepsake Floral. They will preserve my flowers and put them into a beautiful frame or keepsake box. I am quite excited to get this done. I will have a beautiful momento of my bridal bouquet!
I’m not sure yet which frame or anything I’m going to choose. I will have to sit down at some point in time and figure it out. But, for right now I have plenty of other stuff to think about for the wedding!
Today Dave and I went to the courthouse to get our marriage license, woohoo!! It’s becoming more and more official! I just cannot wait until June 9th!
To get the marriage license was really easy. All we had to do was fill out the form and they printed up licenses for us. The best part of all is that in the state of Virginia we do not need a blood test!
Everything is really starting to come together with the wedding. We have just been working on all of the detailed stuff lately. Janice came over again on Thursday to help some more with the programs and favors. So, hopefully we will be finished with all of those soon!
